Shakespeare's Villains
Steven Berkoff, master of playing the villain on screen (Octopussy, Beverly Hills Cop, etc.), has written a play about some of Shakespeares most notorious villains. With often darkly hilarious contemporary analyses of character and qualities of villainy, the narrative eventually gives way to some of Shakespeares most iconic soliloquies, and scenes from the villains who spoke them.
Native Winnipegger, Kelly Daniels, directs multi-nominated, stage veteran and 17 year Shaw Festival Ensemble Member, Ric Reid, in this masterclass in evil.
