Pearl Django and Gail Pettis Together at the Roxy
PEARL DJANGO AND GAIL PETTIS TOGETHER AT BREMERTON'S HISTORIC ROXY THEATRE

Collective Visions Gallery brings long time favorites Pearl Django together with Seattle Jazz vocalist Gail Pettis in a special performance at the Historic and newly refurbished Roxy Theater in Bremerton.
With a performance history spanning 25 years and 14 CDs, Pearl Django endures as one of the most highly regarded Hot Club style groups working today as evidenced by receiving the Golden Ear Award for "Northwest Acoustic Jazz Ensemble of the Year" 2018.
Twice named Northwest Vocalist of the Year by Earshot Jazz Society, Seattle-based Gail Pettis is known for her rich and warm vocals described as deliciously soulful by Cadence Magazine. In a relatively short time as a full-time jazz stylist, Gail has won critical acclaim and fans throughout various festivals in Japan and the Netherlands as well as won the hearts of audiences in the Seattle area. She records with Origin Records, JazzWeek Record Label of the Year in 2009.
Gail Pettis and Pearl Django have teamed up on numerous occasions including stints at Jazz Alley, Chelan Jazz festival, Jazz in the Valley including  live recording sessions at KPLU/KNKX in 2014,15 & 16---
Although the Pearl Djangos roots are firmly in the music made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, its extensive repertoire includes traditional jazz classics and original compositions.  Pearl Django has performed at festivals, dances and nightspots throughout the U.S. and abroad. They have played at the prestigious Festival Django Reinhardt in Samois sur Seine and have been featured on NPRs All Things Considered. The bands signature style is marked by pristine and dexterous string work, colors of Bal Musette, the steady pulse of rhythm guitar and an unmistakable swing that delights audiences of all musical sensibilities. Throughout the years, Pearl Django has cultivated a devoted and enthusiastic following and they continue to play to packed houses wherever they perform.
The Pearl Django and Gail Pettis concert at The Roxy is a project of the 2020 CVG Show Committee.  The 2020 CVG Show is on display from January 19 through February 28 in the Collective Visions Gallery one half block west of the theater at 331 Pacific Ave.  Visitors to the CVG show may obtain a free coupon worth $5 for items at the historic Roxy concession stand.  Chuck and Terri Huddleston are cosponsors for this concert.
