Quaker Burns' Supper
The evening, hosted by Edinburgh Quaker Meeting House, will start with the incomparable local mystery guest reciting To a Haggis.
We've a full two-course Burns Supper including a delicious home-made vegan haggis, organic neeps and tatties from East Lothian, followed by cranachan. All washed down with a toast of beers and wines from the local Quakers. One drink per person included in your ticket price.
This very informal Burns' Supper is part of a conference for Meeting House and Quaker Centres' staff from across the UK coming together in Edinburgh to discus shared issues and developments, and to get to know one another. The invitation is to local Quakers and friends to join and 'host' at this Supper with music, song and a good hearty blether.
Doors open at 6pm with everyone to be seated for the piping in of the haggis by 6.30pm. Places are limited to 100 guests so do reserve your place now.
Please buy your tickets in advance so we know (a) how many to cook for, (b) your dietary requirements, and (c) any musical/poetic offerings.
If you are booking as part of a 'Burns' table' please let us know which table or otherwise choose 'unreserved table' when booking your tickets.
This event is fundraising for and celebrating with Edinburgh Quaker Meeting House.
We look forward to seeing you there!
