Connection & Embrace: Argentine Tango Workshop with Mira Barakat
Start the new year out right - Learn Tango!
Saturday January 4, 2-4:30pm. Finnish Hall, Berkeley.
This 2.5-hour workshop will cover the fundamentals of Argentine Tango in a clear and accessible way to get you on your feet.
Focus will be on connection between partners and the embrace.
Open to those wanting to begin learning Argentine Tango as an introduction to tango, and for more experienced dancers wanting a review of the basics or start learning the other role. There will be time for questions and for practicing what you've learned. No partner necessary.

No experience necessary, no partner necessary. Bring dance shoes, or any shoes flexible shoes that you are comfortable in that can pivot on the floor, and bring socks to dance in just in case!
Instructor Mira Barakat has over seven years of experience teaching dancers of all levels, and particularly enjoys introducing people to this dance. She specializes in making the dance accessible and fun, straight from the start!
