Come and make a striking platter using all natural willows grown by Anna and from Somerset. Students will be able to make one or two pieces to take home with them, built on a square hoop prepared by Anna. Students will learn about handling and grading willow, and creating tension within their piece. There will be different colours of willow for people to create patterns with, and see how each willow has its own characteristics to weave with.
The platter is ideal for serving bread, fruit, etc, as a tray or as a hot pot stand for the table.
Please book at least 10 days in advance to allow me time to sort and soak the right amount of material.
Tea, herbal tea, and coffee provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.
Please Note:
If you have to cancel your place after the soaking time (10 days before the event) then refunds will no longer be available through Brown Paper Tickets, as materials have already been purchased and prepared.
