November, 2013 Program- Southwest Washington SHRM- Longview, WA
Presented by:  Emily SheldrickAttorney with Dunn & Sheldrick, P.S.

Topics to be covered:

Despite all the best efforts of a Human Resources Department, litigation sometimes cannot be avoided after an employee has been terminated. This seminar will focus on important strategies both before and during litigation to avoid becoming a "dream case" for a plaintiff attorney.

What are the most common areas of exposure for employers in employment law litigation?

What steps should every employer take to avoid potential landmines to avoid employment litigation?

What steps should an employer take at the time of termination and just after termination, but before litigation, to avoid exposure in litigation.

Once litigation has been initiated, what should HR professionals do to mitigate potentialexposure for the employer?

Recertification Credit Hours: This program has been pre-approved for 1.00 (General) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.
