Deadgood Improv Comedy (part of Deadgood Week)
Instant comedy. Off-the-cuff, made-up-on-the-spot hilarity. Interactive shenanigans - and of course the audience's suggestions are an important part of the show!
Amongst the comic talent improvizing wildly for your delectation and delight are:
Lulu French - A cast member of the musical improv show, "Broadway's Next Hit Musical," and one half of the improv duo, Beilis and French. She has appeared in numerous improv shows at various NYC improv theaters including Gotham City Improv, the Magnet Theater, and Upright Citizens Brigade. She can currently be seen performing in video segments called "The Mommy Minute" on the parenting website, Parent Society. Lulu French first took improv classes at Gotham City Improv over a decade ago and has been improvising ever since. In addition to her study at GCI she has also studied with Upright Citizens Brigade members Amy Poehler, Matt Besser, and Matt Walsh, and various other Chicago improv alumni.
Those who saw last year's "Arrr! A very British Pantomime" will remember her fondly as the intrepid Jim Ladd.
Gareth Jones - Writer, actor, comedian, and one of the key figures behind "Deadgood LLC". He's improv'd in Southampton and Winchester(in the UK), and at a number of NYC venues. Back when he was merely a member of the audience making suggestions, Josie Lawrence once told him :"don't peak too early!", I think we can agree that he's obeyed her, as that was in the 90's.
Those who saw last year's "Arrr! A Very British Pantomime" will have completely forgotten him in the key roles of "Bertie (Surprise guest) bull, adn "Chap that holds up the song sheet".
