Invicta Voices Matt Bamford, Conductor
5 Year Anniversary Concert Saturday 4th September 2021 7:30pm
St Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London
Join Invicta Voices for a special performance of Puccini's colourful Messa di Gloria, supported by orchestra, alongside a selection of choral a cappella masterpieces that the choir have enjoyed performing over the last five years. The a cappella concert will be split into four sections; Choir Favourites, Conductor Favourites, Contemporary Favourites and most importantly Audience Favourites! Email us at invictavoices@gmail.com to submit your favourite to the shortlist!
First performed in July 1880, Puccini's fabulous Messa di Gloria was composed when Puccini was just 18 years old. Messa di Gloria is full of colour, drama and it carries many 'Verdi-esque' characterisitcs. Verdi was of course one of Puccini's musical idols! Whilst a rarely performed work, this piece is full of energy and excitement and this is certainly not a concert in London to be missed.

Invicta Voices
Invicta Voices are one of Londons leading a cappella chamber choirs. Originally formed primarily from University of Kent alumni choral scholars, the choir performs a vast array of vocal music, ranging from traditional choral polyphony to European premieres of new music by leading contemporary composers.
The singers come from all walks of life, including; teachers, musicians, lawyers, consultants and film producers to name just a few. Although we have a diverse range of backgrounds, we are all united in our shared passion for music and choral singing.
Since Invictas inception in 2014, the choirs have performed at many prestigious venues across London including The House of Lords, The Gresham Centre, St Jamess Piccadilly and Kings Place as well as performing on tour in Germany and at Canterbury Cathedral.
"The Choir were amazing, their voices and range were incredible."
"The audience was spellbound, as was I, and it felt a truly shared experience."
"Invicta Voices have such talent - I think they should definetely return again!"
