I Live Here: the Book is a project of the I Live Here Foundation, which is dedicated to telling the stories of silenced and marginalized people through a series of books and other media projects. I Live Here: the Book (published by Pantheon) includes stories written in collaboration with displaced women and children in Chechnya, Burma, Malawi and Mexico. Mia Kirshner's journals guide readers through this unique paper documentary brought vividly to life in collaboration with J.B. MacKinnon, Paul Shoebridge and Michael Simons, with featured work by Joe Sacco, Ann-Marie MacDonald, Phoebe Gloechner, Chris Abani and others.
