Dream the Rainbow: awakening with yoga nidra
Yoga nidra is a deeply relaxing technique. Many of us experience it at the end of class or workshop. Some of you may not know what it is. Yoga nidra is a guided relaxation that helps us feel so well rested but how? I will share two delicious nidras in this wonderfully restful yet informative workshop. Prepare to feel utterly relaxed, luxurious and also know why, as I outline the philosophy and science behind this wide ranging practice. This session offers sanctuary in the midst of winter. Practice will end with spiced tea and snacks so we emerge feeling nurtured on all levels. Excellent if you experience insomnia or disrupted sleep, stress, tension, anxiety, have experienced it before, even love the practice or simply curious to see what yoga nidra is like. 50% profits will go to Children's Hospices Across Scotland, an amazing charity that for over 20 years have been offering incredible and important support to families in Scotland. About me: I am an Associate Facilitator of Total Yoga Nidra and an ERYT- 500 hours seasonal yoga teacher. I first encountered this incredible healing practice during prenatal yoga classes and my 200 hours training in seasonal yoga in 2011. In 2016 I attended my first Total Nidra immersion with Uma Dinsmore Tuli and Ben Wolff. It was a life changing experience that continues to nurture me I still listen to the nidras shared that weekend, like old friends they restore my energy and bring me back to myself! I am deeply committed to sharing yoga nidra in my teaching and was invited in spring 2019 to join the TYN Associate team. Total Yoga Nidra draws from and respects all approaches and traditions of yoga nidra. I share nidra live, tailored for the group present, inspired by nature and the seasons. Nidra offers us the chance to come home to ourselves, to truly unite with our Self in beautifully simple and easy ways. There is nothing to do and nowhere to be. It is time to come home I look forward to welcoming you home to yourself at this restful and restorative session. Please get in touch with any questions. About Children's Hospices Across Scotland There are hundreds of families in Scotland with a child who is approaching the end of life right now. Through hospices, home care service and hospital presence, CHAS is committed to making sure that no matter how little time those families may have together, it is filled with happiness and fun. At the moment CHAS can only reach 1 in 3 families who could benefit from their support. By supporting Yoga with Lucie events this winter, you can help keep the joy alive for more families across Scotland. Your donation will help us reach every family that needs us. https://www.chas.org.uk/about-us
