Dec 13: Chamber music on bass, flute, viola
The Casa is back to monthly concerts! At this one, flautist Jennifer Lapple, bassist Ethan Foote, and violist/vocalist Megan DiGeorgio bring you intimate chamber music on an uncommon configuration of instruments. Pairing off into twos, they'll perform works by, among others, Foote and DiGeorgio (both pursuing an MFA in music composition at Vermont College of Fine Arts) before presenting Erwin Schulhoff's 1925 Concertino for Flute, Viola, and Contrabass. It will be an evening of modern and contemporary music shot through with jazz, folk, and American poetry.
Doors open at 6:30. Leave your shoes at the door, BYOB, say hi to the cat :) We all love to eat, and the host Susan did cook some lovely food for everyone but please text 202 270-5048 ASAP if you're game to cook and bring food. Can't wait to see you!
