Cross Cultural Collaboration
Three continents Four musical perspectives. One brand: World Music.
How well do we know each other in our diverse modern Canadian society? More pertinently: How well do we sing in another language? How often do we play sounds from another culture on our traditional instruments? With this concert, Matapa brings together artists from diverse traditions to play together and explore their common musical ground. From Afrogospel to the Chinese zither to Latin American to North American grooves, the results are sure to be a hit. This innovative collaborations breaks all boundaries in another special project created by Matapa to be presented only at the Molson
Canadian Studio in Hamilton.
