Hurry Down Sunshine
Hurry Down Sunshine is Stan Davis and Brian Kavanah, from Central Maine. Brian's soulful singing and rock-solid rhythm playing blend with Stan's virtuosic and multi-tonal lead guitar playing, influenced by Ellen McilWaine, BB King, Flamenco, Wes Montgomery, Muddy Waters, and many others. They mix storytelling and a wide range of Americana from Gershwin to Dylan, from folk and Chicago blues to the Kweskin Jug Band- as well as original songs. Their performances weave through a wide range of textures and emotions to create an experience for audiences. Recent performances have included Rock City in Rockland, the main stage at the Freeport Folk Festival, and Maine festivals including the Alewife Festival, and Turner's Music for Mavis series.
