Join us at The Living Room for our new series, Real Talk, hosted and curated by Andy Blackman Hurwitz. Our debut of this series features Dr. Ari Greis with Your Kids on Weed.
Talking to your kids about weed can be tricky and ripe with paradox. Get the real talk and the real facts from Dr. Greis, who will speak to a wide range of topics involving Cannabis for both medicinal and recreational uses, what parents should be concerned about, and what kids want to really know. About Andy Blackman Hurwitz: Narberth homeboy Andy Blackman Hurwitz has spent his entire professional career in the music business and has worn every hat imaginable. He has worked as an attorney for Klehr Harrison and at Knitting Factory Records, Columbia Jazz, and his own label Ropeadope. In addition he has worked as a college professor, manager, and entrepreneur. The one job he has held the longest and in which he finds the most pride and joy is being a work-from-home daddy with 3 boys.
About Dr. Greis: Dr. Ari Greis is a board-certified physician who specializes in the non-operative treatment of spinal and musculoskeletal disorders. He is the director of the Medical Cannabis Department at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute and is a Senior Fellow in the Institute of Emerging Health Professions and the Lambert Center for the Study of Medicinal Cannabis and Hemp. He is interested in the treatment of chronic pain with cannabis as an alternative to opioids. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, has published numerous research articles and textbook chapters, and continues to teach and lecture to residents and medical students.
