My American Dream - The 418 Project Artist in Residence Performance
Hillary Ana Flecha, The Four Eighteen Projects 2008 Artist in Residence will present the result of her residency, My American Dream, a multi- media dance theater piece about one girls coming of age in upper middle class suburbia. My American Dream takes a look at the culture and identity of the United States, and tosses images of women into the salad bowl of U. S. subcultures, asking the question "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
My American Dream will be performed by Flecha, physical theater artists Julie Oak and RD Bolam, and features original video by Fabio Flecha, and live music and looping by Glenn Smith.
