SANTA SURVIVOR 2019 @ THE STAIRCASE
2019 is our 15th annual Santa Survivor Improv Comedy Show. Santa Survivor is a parody of the Survivor TV show where tribes of elves get immunity or voted off the iceberg. The winning elf gets to accompany Santa in the sleigh spreading capitalism around the world. A core value of improv comedy is audience participation. Scenes are inspired by audience suggestions and audience participation (voluntary) on stage. Audience members can receive prizes for participating or just showing up.

Admission: $12 +fees + justin and doug's cut ages 12 and up. Not a children's show.
Host: Our Santa this year is local stand up comedian James Butler. James is known for running the most supportive and inclusive comedy open mike in Hamilton. James teaches improv comedy at Staircase Improv and organizes classes in stand up comedy.
Content: This is not a children's show. The content level will often be in the young adult range. Staircase Improv believes in punching up, exploring relationships, physical comedy and general zaniness. Adult content may occur by accident.
Fund Raiser: St. Joseph's Healthcare Youth Wellness Center
Portion of the proceeds from this show will be donated to St. Josephs Healthcare Hamiltons Youth Wellness Centre. The centre is a safe environment for young people age 17 to 25 to receive expert care for mental health and substance use issues. The Youth Wellness Centre exists to help young people access the mental health care that they need, no matter what barriers they may be facing
