Leonora & Alejandro: La Maga y el Maestro
Leonora & Alejandro by Massachusetts-based Double Edge Theatre brings to life the art and writings of British-born Mexican artist Leonora Carrington and her mentorship of filmmaker Alejandro Jodorowsky through Double Edge's signature style of highly physical and visually stunning theatre. Conceived by master director Stacy Klein, this dream-like performance blends images and texts from Carrington and Jodorowsky's work with a gripping live-score by Russian composer Alexander Bakshi to explore the borders between madness and magic and reveals the power of the imagination. Directed by Stacy Klein. Presented by The Hinterlands. Co-Presented by Detroit Public Theatre.
