Introduction to CSA Farming

Enjoy a tour of Raleighs Hillside Farm and learn a bit more about CSA as a business model. Well go over the history and growth of our business over the past eight years, tour the fields, explain how CSA works logistically, explore efficient pack shed strategies, and chat about how to grow a small CSA effectively over time.

Adults and kids welcome, but kids over 12 will need their own ticket.

Kids under 12 do not need a ticket but need direct supervision by their parents attending.

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About Lauren Rudersdorf:

Lauren Rudersdorf is one half of Raleigh's Hillside Farm: a four-acre, certified organic CSA vegetable farm located outside Brodhead, Wisconsin. Lauren is an enthusiastic advocate of CSA farming and connecting people to their food. In her hours off the farm, she writes for Madison Magazine and Edible Madison, blogs at The Leek & The Carrot, and works as the Office Manager for Midwest Environmental Advocates.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
