Learn the ins and outs of making your own savory and sweet crackers with gluten-free and locally grown flours. LindaDee (Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow, 1965) demonstrates mixing, rolling & baking these crunchy goodies for you to sample and take home the recipes. Easier than you think, says the former restauranteur, Sunporch Cafe Madison, 1983-2003. Replace sugar laden cookies (so yesterday!) with this healthier alternative. You can legally make these in an unlicensed kitchen and sell at farm stands. Good partner for cheese, sausage, jams, relishes, spreads, dips, and beverages. Impress family and guests with your homemade crackers. Adults only.

A free copy of Renewing the Countryside: WISCONSIN will be given away to every family, couple and/or household registered for a particular workshop (a $26.95 value); the free book giveaway is limited to one copy per residential address of attendees.

About LindaDee at Bluffwood Landing:

LindaDee has worn many hats in 70+ years: UW grad, Peace Corps, Broom Street Theater, Lindas Lakeside Market, Sunporch Cafe & Art Gallery, Dane Co. Business Woman of the Year, Treaty Rights, Witness for Non-violence, B&B innkeeper, teacher, master gardener, town treasurer, political activist and now farmer for 25 years. She brings all that to her classes at Bluffwood, a 15-acre organic sheep/wool farm. When not tending sheep, spinning wool, or teaching, LindaDee bounces around her riotous gardens belting out original songs. Sheep mow lawn, soil flourishes, diversity reigns, hobbits lurk & miracles happen. One of those miracles will be YOU participating in a Workshop.

CANCELLATION POLICY: NO REFUNDS. SOIL SISTERS has a no refund policy. You can, however, transfer your ticket to another person, provided that person is in possession of the ticket at the time of the workshop.
