Sunday, February 9 at 3 p.m. Green Center for the Performing Arts, Kresge Auditorium
Follow the classic tales of Don Juan and Till Eulenspiegel, the inspiration behind some of Richard Strauss's most popular works. First, be swept off your feet by the romantic hero, Don Juan, and then join in the exploits of the original prankster, Till Eulenspiegel, in a tone poem chronicling the misadventures of this German folk hero. Violinist Stefan Jackiw, hailed as "talent that's off the scale" by The Washington Post, rounds out the program with two violin works by Mozart and Lutosławski.
