GROWN the Web Series Presents: Black Mamba Film Series
Hosted by GROWN the web series, a DC-based web series about four friends growing into black womanhood, the Black Mamba film series is a showcase of award-winning films and series created by Black filmmakers and filmmakers of color. The first screening takes place at Suns Cinema on November 13 at 7pm, screening 4+ shorts that were created by Black women. Learn more about the films below:

1. ME TIME is a short feminist sex comedy written and directed by award winning filmmaker Iyabo Boyd [TRT: 11minutes)
2. DOLL BABY Part live-action, part stop-motion animation, this film takes a hard look at gender, its imagination, and its functionality in 5 episodes directed by award winning filmmaker Brittany Sankofa [TRT: 16min]
3. FEMME QUEEN CHRONICLES
An up-and-coming comedic webseries about the lives of four black trans women as they navigate through love, life, trade, and ki-king in the city of Detroit -- written, directed, and brought to life by black trans women themselves. [TRT: TBD]
4. GROWN the web series
Najae is the newly elected President of the United States in her mind. She practices her speech in her bathroom mirror, but doesnt even have a day job to pay the bills. GROWN is a comedy drama about four friends in the nations capital struggling to mature into black womanhood
