Their fiery five piece horn section, tight rhythmic vibe and sheer energy has attracted musicians and music lovers alike for almost two decades. So whether it is your first time or your 34th time, come enjoy the talent that is known as the Funk Filharmonik.
Collectively and individually the members of "The Funk Band" have worked over the past 34 years with a who's who list of rock, pop, blues, jazz, funk, soul, and R&B icons, including Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, John Mayer, Ray Charles, Diana Ross, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Mariah Carey, The Allman Brothers, and The Original Blues Brothers Band,Tower of Power, Hall and Oates, Steve Cropper, Bootsy Collins, as well as with giants of jazz and Latin music including Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Gloria Estefan, Willie Colon, Freddie Hubbard, Lionel Hampton, Dave Valentin, Jonathan Butler, the Brecker Brothers.
At any given moment, these guys might be off performing as a band, a horn section, a rhythm section or as individual players in the far corners of the world playing such diverse settings as a midnight sun jazz festival in Sweden, a spiritual drum and dance ceremony in West Africa, even a presidential inauguration on the White House lawn! They have lent their talents to countless TV and Broadway shows, movie soundtracks, commercial jingles and educational clinics. The band also prides itself in the numerous benefits they and their loyal following of "funksters" have supported for humanitarian and environmental causes.

Opened in October 2018, within the heart of beautiful & historic Amityville Village. THE WAREHOUSE is Long Islands newest & most exciting Live Music Venue, Restaurant, Bar & Event Space offering you a chance to listen to the very best local & regional bands/artists in a comfortable setting, or to book your next private party.
