Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead
Do characters in a play have life outside the story? What do minor characters do while the rest of the story goes on? Questions, Questions, Questions!! Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are minor characters in a great play by Shakespeare, but in this whacky offshoot we get to tag along as they try to piece together the reasons for their existence outside of that play. Hamlet, Claudius, and Gertrude appear and make their demands, to be sure, but many more crazy things happen while they are "offstage" and when a colorful band of traveling players arrive at the palace things get even more bizarre!
Rousing music, colorful costumes, and excellent performances by a mixed cast of Knaves and Rogues of CST bring this contemporary comedy to sparkling life! Appropriate for audiences of 5 and. up.
