Academia to Entrepreneurship: An inspiring journey
Do you want to start your own company but are intimidated by the idea?
Silicon Valley is famous for entrepreneurship but the path to success is unclear. Where do you start? AWIS Palo Alto has invited serial entrepreneur Dr. Marco Quarta to share with you the key lessons learned on his journey from academia to entrepreneurship.
Dr. Quarta is the co-founder and CEO of the Longevity Biotech company Rubedo Life Sciences. He also co-founded the Longevity company Turn Bio and the the Medical Device company WetWare Concepts. Dr. Quarta received a MS in Biotechnology from the University of Bologna and a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Padova. He completed his post-doctoral training in Stem Cell Biology at Stanford University, where he later led a research team in the Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences working on regenerative medicine and aging.
