Fezziwig's Ball: An Evening of Holiday Merriment
Historic Interpretations is pleased to present A Novel Entertainment Event to start your 2013 holiday season!
Join Mr. And Mrs. Fezziwig as they present their annual holiday ball, straight out of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol", at North Raleigh Community Church, in Raleigh, NC.
Sample 19th century delicacies and libations, meet young Ebenezer Scrooge, his fiance Belle, and other characters from the novel.
Enter the dance floor for an evening of Regency dancing, called by Mr. Jack Maus of Virginia, to live period music. (If you don't know the dances, help will be provided - they are simple!)
Enjoy enlightening and edifying remarks by Professor Elliot Engel, acclaimed Dickens scholar and speaker.
Try your hand at whist, forfeits, and other historic games!
Period attire is admired, but not required. We request formal dress for those not choosing to don period costume.
You must be at least 16 years of age to attend.
