The Future of Hunger: An Evening with Jan Poppendieck

Noted author Jan Poppendieck will share her thoughts on possible solutions to the food systems challenges vexing America.

Santa Barbara Unified School District Mobile Cafes (Healthy Food Trucks!) will be onsite at 5:15 to provide delicious, nutritious, economical meals. (CASH & CHECKS ONLY)
After a brief presentation at 7:00 PM, Ms. Poppendieck will be joined onstage by Foodbank of Santa Barbara County CEO Erik Talkin and School Food Initiative Director Kathleen de Chadenedes for a discussion of local, state, and national opportunities to improve food systems.
Books will be available for sale before and after the event, and Ms. Poppendieck will be available to sign books immediately following the panel discussion.
Representatives from local organizations working on food system reform will be available to share information before and after the program.
