Back by popular demand: how to energize your fiction with compelling scenes! Learn to identify the essential storytelling components - in fiction, screen writing or play writing - that make up scenes and drive your narrative. We'll read and analyze a scene from a novel with an eye toward those elements, discuss the key items you need to make your scenes pop, then we'll discuss some of your work. Please bring 8-10 copies of one of your scenes if you would like us to give you some feedback. Leave the workshop with a list of action items and some scene-writing exercises.
