This November, Double Bangers is back at The Assembly Theatre!!
Each month, we bring you a double bill of the best acts that Toronto sketch has to offer, and this month were serving you an estrogen-packed TRIPLE Banger of with HerBeaver, Emma and Julia and Anna Smith!
Herbeaver (Heather Gallant, Katie Preston, Mallory Morgan) has busted into the Toronto Comedy Scene with their monthly show Bush Party at Comedy Bar. They have performed in the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival, Fresh Notes Musical Comedy Festival, Portland Sketch Comedy Festival, and Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival. They were also honoured to be selected to perform in this years Women in Comedy Festival presented by HBO (Boston, MA).
Anna Smith has been performing sketch, improv, and stand-up comedy at various venues around Southwestern Ontario for the for the past four years. She graduated Humber Colleges Comedy Writing and Performance Program, during which time, she achieved The Brian Linehan Comedy Writing and Performance Scholarship for Outstanding Artistic Promise. Anna joined troupes A Tribe Called Sketch and Low Rise Queens. With them she has performed multiple times in Toronto Sketchfest and at The Big City Improv Festival and most recently Montreal Sketchfest . She recently became a member of the Players Sketch troupe and was selected to be in the Just For Laughs Solo Sketch/ Character Showcase, as part of the 2019 Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. She has completed Foundations three and Musical improv Classes at Bad Dog Theatre.
Emma Bulpin & Julia Haist are comedy geniuses who have won most major American Comedy Awards, Including a 2019 Nickelodeon Kids Choice award for "Best Comedy Duo". They spent a record breaking 45 minutes in the Slime Jacuzzi to celebrate their win. (They are also co-producers of the show along with Cam Wyllie, who recently sold out the Edmonton performance of his solo show consisting entirely of sweet tricks on the devil sticks.)
