Shakespeare & Company
On Sunday, November 24, at 3:00 PM, the Hudson-Mohawk Chorale, under the direction of its founding Artistic Director, Susan Hermance Fedak, will present a concert titled Shakespeare & Company. The event will take place at Carl B. Taylor Auditorium on the campus of SUNY Schenectady (Schenectady County Community College), 78 Washington Avenue, Schenectady.
The 60-voice mixed choir will sing a wide variety of selections celebrating the words of Shakespeare: "Songs and Sonnets" by George Shearing, a cycle of seven movements set in an easy jazz style; "Three Shakespeare Songs" by Roger Quilter, arranged by Linda Spevacek; "When Icicles Hang" by John Rutter, and, "Three Shakespearean Miniatures", a premiere by HMC's accompanist and Composer-in-Residence Alfred Fedak!
The public is cordially invited to attend this very special concert as well as the reception which will follow the performance.
