Gravity Defiant
Gravity Defiant is a full-length circus show which explores identity and the invisible forces that shape everyday life. Gravity Defiant takes the viewer on a thought-provoking journey, challenging the innumerable forces which define our diverse existence.
As we move through this world, how often are we aware of the invisible forces that hold us down? The forms of oppression that shape our realities? Others' realities? Emotions unpacked, lessons learned, bonds forged, reinforced by the profound feeling of realizing that everyone, including strangers passed in the street, has a life as complex as ones own. Gravity Defiant seeks to unpack these questions and more.
Created and Performed by the Voice Projects pilot year students: Chase, Fyre, Jasmine, Katie, Tina, and V. Gravity is a show not to be missed!

Accessibility Information:
The Circus Project is wheelchair accessible. There is a 17-foot long concrete ramp to access the front door, which is 33 inches wide (and somewhat heavy). The audience area is hard floor and flat, and seating consists of stacked gymnastics mats and wooden chairs - these can be rearranged as needed to accommodate wheelchairs or other equipment.
There is additional audience seating on the mezzanine, overlooking the stage. There is a flight of stairs, with a handrail on both sides, to access the mezzanine. We do not have an elevator to access this area.
Parking for the theater is street parking, and attendees with mobility concerns are welcome to temporarily pull into the small shared parking lot in front of the Circus Project as a drop-off location. We also have a parking lot with 3-hour parking behind the building.
There is also a back entrance to the building. To enter from the back, there is a 43 long concrete loading ramp, enter the door (41-inches wide, somewhat heavy) proceed down the hallway and turn left, and the back door to the Circus Project will be on the right. This is a shared hallway with multiple businesses, and also the access to additional building bathrooms. This hallway is often used as the stage entrance for performers, so there may also be performers passing through.
The Circus Project has an all-user, wheelchair-accessible bathroom, including support bar. All products at the Circus Project are free of synthetic fragrances. There are two additional all-user, wheelchair-accessible bathrooms in the back hallway, shared by multiple businesses.
There will be ASL interpretation for the Sunday show.
Help us make the Circus Project a welcoming place for people with chemical sensitivities. We request that all visitors do not use synthetic fragrances such as perfume or cologne while in our studio. The Circus Project only uses unscented cleaning products.
