Kairos Fall A Cappella Concert, "Dead Poets Society"
Kairos: A Consort of Singers, under the direction of Edward Lundergan, presents its annual Fall a cappella Concert "Dead Poets Society", a program of settings of poetic texts from many different eras and languages. Poems by Petrarch, Keats, Christina Rosetti, Goethe, Schiller, Walt Whitman and Apollinaire are just some of the "dead" poets featured. Music by Lasso, Poulenc, Wert, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Monteverdi, Carl Loewe, Dominick Argento (who passed away earlier this year), and George Tsontakis.
Come join Kairos for this wonderful and interesting program and discover how composers through the ages have married these beautiful texts with beautiful music!
