Ben Fisher w/ Skadi von Reis featuring Sophie Kauffman and Michael Howard
The Island Music Guild is exited to have Ben Fisher join us on Saturday the 24th of August. Ben Fisher is a singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Atlanta, GA and learned how to play the guitar in a mariachi band. He's busked in the Seattle area for the better part of a decade, starting in his high school days. He has shared the stage with bands like Pickwick, Joe Pug, Ivan & Alyosha, and Sera Cahoone. His new album Charleston will be released this Winter.
And to open the show we have Bainbridge's own, the lovely Skadi von Reis. Skadi has been writing songs since her travels in 2010, when she decided singing with an instrument in hand weirded less people out. Her songs span stories of her time spent in the Arctic circle, life on Bainbridge, and her time spent wrangling horses in Montana. Come listen to Skadi and her group of talented friends conjure up an evening of stories and song.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door the day of the show. Looking forward to seeing you there.
