REID JAMIESON is a vocal powerhouse committed to making music that moves us. Based in Vancouver, he is known for his regular appearances on CBCs Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McLean. Reid now performs in a classic introvert/extrovert combo with his saucy wife and long-time song-writing partner CAROLYN MILL Along with winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for their first co-write RAIL, this creative couple wrote their way into the Vancouver Folk Music Festival by winning first prize in the Pickin a Folk Star Contest. Their catalog and repertoire have a wide-ranging appeal, with compelling originals plus unique interpretations of the work of Leonard Cohen, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and more. Reid and Carolyn have just released a new album titled Me Daza, which they recorded in Schull, Co. Cork in Ireland with producer Kieran Kennedy. The albums mature themes range from loving a woman during and after The Change, to Irelands abortion referendum, to coping with mental illness and social media. www.reidjamieson.com
RYAN MCMAHON, born and raised in Chemainus, BC, has carved out an almost 20-year career as an independent artist in Canada. Hes always been a genre fence-sitter, hanging out on the edges of country just enough to say he isnt. Ryan sings to anyone and everyone who has ever got drunk, smoked, cried, loved or been loved, says producer Andre Wahl (Hawksley Workman, Luke Doucet). Over the course of his career, Ryan has toured Canada countless times, released five full-length albums, and seen his music licensed nationally and abroad. In 2012 he won 3 out of 5 nominations at the Vancouver Island Music Awards and co-founded Lion Bear Fox, with song-writing colleagues Cory Woodward and Christopher Arruda. The band was named as one of the Top 20 Finalists for the 2013 Peak Performance Project in Vancouver. In 2014, Showtimes original series, Californication featured Ryans single Ill Be Damned. On Feb 1st, 2019, Ryan released his new album, In Line For a Smile. I think that when I look back on a lifetime in music, this album will stand out as a highwater mark for me. Im extremely proud of it, and I cant wait for it to reach not only my small fan base, but new ears as well. www.ryanmcmahon.com
