How to Pass QII Every Time
Presented By: Energy Code Works
One of the most significant changes in the upcoming 2019 Title-24 energy code involves the QII (Quality Insulation Installation) HERS inspection. Currently, with the 2016 T24 code this is an optional credit for T24 compliance. Beginning January 1, 2020, it will become a prescriptive requirement for all single-family homes and most multi-family buildings. Of all the HERS inspections QII has the highest fail rate
Learning Objectives:
1. Attendees will review the upcoming January 1, 2020 QII code requirement changes for all single-family homes and most multi-family buildings.
2. Attendees will learn how to coordinate between the HERS rater, the insulation installer, the framer and the general contractor to guarantee compliance without costly delays and repairs.
3. Attendees will learn how to design/install framing that is airtight.
4.Attendees will learn how to navigate paperwork/forms required by QII
