Diamonds In The Rough: Local Santa Cruzan seasoned musicians Jim Rosenberg and Paul Logan team up to create Diamonds In The Rough, an acoustic duo that authentically captures the essence of John Prine and many of his legendary classic songs. Reminiscent of the magic combination of the John Prine/Steve Goodman era, Rosenberg and Logan combine acoustic guitars, bass and vocal harmonies to bring you such classics as Souvenirs, Sam Stone, Common Sense and The Accident as well as Johns post-Goodman gems. My older brother turned me on to Prines first album back in the early 1970s. I was attempting to write songs at the time. When I heard Johns lyrics and story-telling I thought to myself, well the bar is certainly a high one, says Rosenberg. Ive been playing his songs and have been a lifelong fan and self-appointed apprentice ever since. Jim Rosenberg has been performing as a singer/songwriter since the early 1970s. He currently fronts the popular Neil Young tribute band, Not So Young and recently released an 11-song album entitled The Cold Hard Truth featuring all original material available at JimRosenbergMusic.com. Paul Logan is a native of Berkeley, Ca. Paul grew up playing French Horn in the orchestra. At age 18, he switched to Electric Bass, much to his mothers dismay. Paul has been producing and recording with local artists, and performing in local venues with top bands in the area.. Paul has appeared on recordings with Al Jardine, Steve Miller, Brian Wilson, Neil Young, David Crosby, Glen Campbell, Lucinda Williams and Lyle Lovett.
