Hayden Wayne Is Alive And Well In New York! Live @ The Howland!
The Howland Cultural Center, Beacon's unparalleled arts and entertainment venue, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary,is pleased to present composer and Dutchess County resident, Hayden Wayne in 'Hayden Wayne Is Alive and Well in New York,' a cabaret-style performance of his song catalogue, featuring Hayden Wayne with Kelly Ellenwood, Rowan Parsaca, Leah Anne Siegel and Michael Bonanno The composer and the troupe of both young and seasoned performers will perform selections from the songbook with Hayden at the piano.
Wayne has been characterized as a composer of serious art music who came from a background of popular music through his performances with various bands, most notably, Jobriath, among many others, He has written over 400 works, 10 symphonies, 10 string quartets, two full-length operas and other chamber pieces, Jerry Dubins of Fanfare Magazine wrote: I would place Wayne very high among the ranks of major American symphonists. His music has been heard in venues around the world, including the playlist on Air Fotce One during the Clinton Administration.
