Full Moon Story Slam

How often have you been involved in a penultimate event? Probably not very often, right? Well, here's your chance! The November 16 Full Moon Story Slam will be the last regular event of the 2019 season before the final slam competition at the Firehouse Center for the Arts in December. At that event, all winners of this year's slams will vie for top honors as they demonstrate the art and craft of storytelling.

2019 is the sixth year of our story slam program and the events always sell out! The slams are competitions that put a dual emphasis on content and performance, encouraging storytellers to focus on what they're saying and how they're saying it. They provide a wonderful opportunity for friends and strangers alike to gather together and share true stories from their lives.

At its November Full Moon Story Slam, The Actors Studio will host an evening of stories based on the theme of Extra Mile. You'll be treated to true stories that might inspire you, give you a tickle, bring a tear to your eye, or make you ponder. We never know what stories will be told, but we can guarantee a very special evening of shared experiences!
