Comedy Cabaret with Jason Schommer!
On Friday, August 16th the upstairs of the Red Bull Bar will be turned into a Comedy Cabaret! with a special stand up comedy performance by Little Falls native Jason Schommer. Jason who is currently living in Los Angeles, will be taking to the stage for night only in this hilarious comedy show filled with all new material as well as a few classic bits that audiences have come to love and request at his shows. Showtime is at 8 PM with the doors opening at 7 PM. This special performance is being recorded for submission to managers, agents, and festivals. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online at brownpapertickets.com or at the door the evening of the show. Seating is limited in this intimate performance space.
Jason Schommer, recently named "What's Hot For 2013" by Campus Activities Magazine, is a standup comedian who has spent the past two years as the opening act for Louie Anderson in Las Vegas. Louie Anderson says "Jason is funny, clever, smart, and on his way to the big time!". Jason's unique comedy style ranges from observational humor based on his life, to recounting hysterical encounters with celebrities such as Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Jessica Simpson and hilarious commentary of pop culture. Kathy Griffin even gave Jason a shout out during her show! Jason began his adventures in standup comedy while working for The Rosie O'Donnell Show in NYC. The show's writers thought he was funny, so they signed him up to perform at the New York Comedy Club. Jason easily won over the crowd with his quick wit and energetic style. Since then, Jason has quickly become an audience favorite at shows all over.
