Elves of Presley
What: The Elves of Presley, St. Aidans 16th original musical comedy written, directed and performed by parishioners and friends, continues the tradition of plays about the staff of the fictitious St. Dymphnas Church. Christmas comes in November when Elphus, King of the Elves from Presley, leads the church holiday fundraiser. Much merriment and bah, humbug attitudes mix together for a laugh-filled play.
The Elves of Presley is written and directed by John Wilk, Theatre Professor, City College of San Francisco with musical direction by Scrumbly Koldewyn. Choreography is by Deborah Shaw, director and choreographer of City College spring musicals. The ensemble includes Robert Ayala, Anne Benninger, Louis Bi, Carolina Collazos, Dave Frangquist, Rebecca MurrayMetzger, Christine Powell, Gabriel Press-Becker, Gary Robinson, Dan Rosen, Nancy Sabin, Perry Tom, and Melanie Wickersheim.
The play benefits St. Aidans Church and its community programs including the weekly Food Pantry, the monthly Diamond Diners Senior Lunch, monthly Diamond Diapers free baby diapers distribution and Resilient Diamond Heights, the neighborhood emergency preparedness workgroup.
