Marine Hazardous Waste Seminar
Jefferson County Environmental Public Health and the Department of Ecology are sponsoring a 2-hour seminar to provide information and free materials to prevent hazardous wastes from reaching our local waters. Designed for those in the marine trades and boat owners in Jefferson County marinas, the seminar will feature the following speakers and topics: 1) Bob Simmons from WSU - the effects of common contaminants on marine ecosystems 2) Terry Taylor, Port of Port Townsend - best management practices at the boatyard 3) Jerry Mingo, HHW facility manager - types of hazardous wastes and disposal practices
