Award-winning wit, wag, and piquant observer of life's mysterious ways, Tulis McCall has lived long enough to have a fist full of opinions and life hacks to share with anyone within earshot. The hour glass is suspiciously full on the bottom, and McCall is looking through the nuggets drifting about on the top. McCall sets her sites on the greatest mystery of all: the conveyor belt of life and our place in the line-up.
TULIS McCALL is an actor/writer/producer and performer. She recently appeared in Lillian Isabellas How We Love/F*ck at the Cherry Lane Theatre. Her first one-person show, What Everywoman Knows, was produced at the Public Theatre in New York by Michael Moriarty, and at the West Coast Ensemble in Los Angeles by Dan Lauria. Her second, Running With Scissors - stories of contemporary urban lives - was directed by Philip Proctor of the Firesign Theatre. McCall is recipient of three UNITED SOLO™ Awards: 2015 Best Storytelling, 2016 Best Standup and 2017 Best One-Woman Show. McCall hosts Monologues and Madness, a monthly event of original works read by writers formerly at the Cornelia Street CafĂ© and now at Pangea. She is the Editor of The Front Row Center, a New York theatre review site.
AUSTIN PENDLETON is an actor, director, playwright and teacher of acting, among whose most recent stage appearance was as the King in Lear at The Secret Theatre. His first Broadway appearance was as Motel the Tailor in the original production of Fiddler on the Roof directed by Jerome Robbins and starring Zero Mostel. He has since appeared frequently on, off and off-off Broadway and can be seen in approximately 200 films. His many TV appearances include roles on Oz, Homicide, Law and Order and Billions. In New York, he has directed Between Riverside and Crazy and four shows at CSC, among others. He is the author of three playsOrsons Shadow, Uncle Bob and Booth. Pendleton teaches acting in New York at HB Studio, where he studied with Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof. He also studied acting with Robert Lewis.
