Rachelle Garniez & Erik Della Penna: Sidewalks of New York, presented by TWEED.
This show is part of Sundays @ Seven, a series presented by TWEED Theater Works, Kevin Malony artistic director.

SIDEWALKS OF NEW YORK
An evening of original and vintage songs about NYC.

Singers, songwriters, and instrumentalists, Rachelle Garniez and Erik Della Penna bring a wealth of inspirations and influences to their crafts, from Tin Pan Alley to folk and Americana.
Fresh from their German tour of "Ein Abend in New York", they harmonize and wax poetic, creating a sound that charms and delights audiences of all stripes.

Rachelle Garniez is a native New Yorker who has earned the titles "Diva with a Difference" (Billboard Magazine) and "Master of Surprise" (Entertainment Weekly) by writing and performing darkly optimistic story-songs and by playing a variety of instruments including accordion, piano, claviola, guitar and plastic bells, "...leaving nothing behind but sweet wreckage." (The New Yorker).

Erik is a songwriter, composer, and guitarist living in New York City. He has written for and performed extensively with Hazmat Modine, Joan Baez, Natalie Merchant, Joan Osborne and David Yazbek.
Erik has also written music for The New York Historical Society, A&E television, and dozens of documentary films.
His guitar and drum duo, Kill Henry Sugar, is currently recording their seventh collection of original songs.
As a member of Hazmat Modine, Erik is one of the primary songwriters and provides vocals, guitar and banjo.
In addition, Erik is working on a musical with Tony Award winning composer David Yazbek, based on the bizarre life and death of failed train robber Elmer McCurdy.
He also has a musical for young people now in production at The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Preforming Arts in Miami entitled Kitty Hawk.
