Foundry Hall presents: Kobo Town
Kobo Town stops in South Haven on their midwest tour! $10 advance/$15 at the door (under 18 is free!)
Founded and fronted by émigré Trinidadian songwriter Drew Gonsalves, Kobo Towns music has been described as an intoxicating blend of lilting calypsonian wit, dancehall reggae and trombone-heavy brass. Not only are they performing for us on Sunday, but the band will also lead in-class workshops discussing and demonstrating the tradition of Calypso music for students at Baseline Middle School and give a school-wide short performance on Monday, Nov 25th. This program is made possible by the Foundry Hall Creating Community Fund supported by generous donors and grant funding from the Greater South Haven Community Foundation.
