High Wire Distillery Tasting at Local Three

Located in the heart of historic downtown Charleston, SC, High Wire Distilling Company is dedicated to making premium, small batch spirits. Our approach is simple: seek the finest ingredients available and develop recipes using a creative, culinary approach. All of our products are batch distilled in a hand-hammered, German copper still to create the finest Southern spirits available.

Local Three is home to one of the largest and most diverse whiskey collections in the Southeast featuring more than 250 whiskies. Join us as we crack open our cellar for a monthly guided tasting series. Sample whiskies from around the world and talk whiskey business.

Tasting will include a flight featuring four 1-ounce pours and light snacks from the kitchen. Sessions are limited to 14 seats per tasting to allow for more intimate group discussion and feature beginner and intermediate level experiences.

Tasting will include:

**1 oz pour of each**
Southern Amaro Liqueur
--A Southern expression of an Italian classic, the signature amaro is handcrafted from regionally grown and foraged ingredients such as Charleston black tea, yaupon holly, Dancy tangerine, and mint.

New Souther Revival Brand Sorghum Whiskey
--Distilled from sorghum grown on a Mennonite farm in central Tennessee, the Sorghum Whiskey is incredibly smooth with a long finish.

New Southern Revival Brand Rye Whiskey
--The Rye Whiskey is made with 75% of ancient Italian Abruzzi, an heirloom grain grown in the Carolinas for centuries and prized for its hardy backbone and complex nutty flavors. Heirloom white corn completes the blend and adds a touch of sweetness to compliment the boldness of the rye.

AND Jimmy Red Straight Bourbon Whiskey
-- Jimmy Corn, a legendary moonshiner's corn that had dwindled down to a mere 2 cobs following the death of the last man to grow it, was rescued from near extinction by Ted Chewning. Grown by High Wire Distillery, Jimmy Red Corn is used to create a straight bourbon unlike any we have every experienced.
