Small is Beautiful
This workshop promises inspiration, great story-telling and first-hand advice on the joys and challenges of sustainable farming outside the industrial agriculture complex. If you are already farming, or thinking of turning your fields of wild into fields of plenty, this one's for you.
The keynote speaker is Michael Ableman, (http://michaelableman.com/) an author, organic farmer for 43 years and social activist who co-founded Sole Food Farms in Vancouver.
Additional panelists: Langley's Melanie MacInnes, a second generation farmer, and James Lau, the community manager of Meatme.ca (https://www.meatme.ca/), which offers a digital consumer marketplace for small farmers including some from Langley.
Advance purchase of tickets is required; tickets will not be available at the door.
