Jazz Benefit for the Street Children of Ecuador
This concert is the seventh annual fundraiser to support the incredible work of UBECI, a small family-run non-profit in Quito, Ecuador. UBECI's goal is to reduce the working hours of young market children and give them enough skills to enroll them in school. Since 1999, thanks to worldwide volunteers, UBECI has helped thousands of such children. Visit UBECI.org for more information. The concert features top-notch area jazz musicians and singers. Brenda Lau, is a well- known singer in her native Panama and Russell Watts has performed with the Indian Hill Big Band. The concert features a live Skype connection with UBECI's director in Quito and refreshments at intermission and takes place in an intimate venue at the South Acton Congregational Church in Acton, MA (near the So. Acton RR station).
