Title: ADA Updates for 2013
Description:
With many projects the architects orient the site plans and get a buy off on the concept prior to the design team being brought on board. There are some major accessibility issues that are being overlooked and can cause delays during plan review if these items are not incorporated during the concept phase of the project. This presentation will highlight what some of these issues are and how it impacts the projects overall accessibility. This presentation will highlight the application to multi-family as well as commercial projects.
Additionally, will also discuss the new 2013 California Building Code and how the new format is set up. We will also review 10 new items to the ADA and the California Building Code and how these impact your plans.

Her background includes 22 years of experience in the architectural, engineering, and construction industry, specializing in site accessibility projects over the last 12 years. Currently she is employed by Atkins and offers a full range of accessibility compliance services including design, consulting, site inspections, CASp reports, plan review, training and educational needs to assist in complying with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)."
