Full Metal Events (November 13)
On Wednesday November 13th, Full Metal Events will take over the Pointless stage with a brand new line up of stand-up comedians and (for the first time) 2 musical guests.
Kyle Forsyth is what happens when you mix some personal stories, irreverent opinions, and a lot of youthful energy. Hailing from Michigan at 25 years old, Kyle started comedy at the age of 19 and immediately let it consume him. He has performed on stages all over including Mark Ridleys Comedy Castle, Dr. Grins, and Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase. Kyle is also a co-founder of Detroit comedy collective, 313 Comedy, and Motor City Comedy Festival. He has also had the pleasure of opening for comedians such as Brian Posehn, Joe Mande, Erik Griffin, Jay Larson, and Brody Stevens. Shelly Smith will be hosting. She has been performing and producing shows in the area for over 15 years. She runs an ongoing monthly comedy show at Om of Medicine, hosts and produces the Reads and Weeds podcast, and produces the annual 50 First Jokes show at the Ark. Ellie Snyder, originally from Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a failed music student turned stand-up. She draws inspiration from her ex-boyfriends' mothers, her misadventures in college, and the grumpy women who yell at cashiers in Kroger. When she's not driving Trusty Niels, her aged Subaru, to shows, she spends time grieving toenails lost on long-distance runs and eating so very many things that will kill her before she's 40.
Nappi Devi is an amalgamation of music. He is a rapper who can honestly, and earnestly sing and vice versa. He is a Singer, who can also earnestly Rap. Which makes him a hybrid artist. Which in todays marketplace can be a blessing and a curse. Only the music loving public can decide which talent they prefer. But, it is a talent that he takes in stride. He is a truculent human to begin with. And he manages to be very magnanimous about himself and his talents, as any rapper should be.
The Comic aka Joey Hamood is a rapper/entertainer from the metro Detroit area. He has been writing songs for 17 years and has been recording since 2011. Since that time, he has released original music on all streaming platforms such as "Open a Tab", "Rock With It", "Double Take", etc. He has opened for national acts like Jon Connor and G-Eazy. In 2018, Comic recorded, engineered, branded, and released 52 songs in 52 consecutive weeks in a segment he called "Friday Flame". Run time for Full Metal Events is about 90 minutes.
General Full Metal Events format: 5 to 10 minutes comedy 5 to 10 minutes music 30 to 50 minutes comedy 15 to 30 minutes music With comedy, music, and beer that's brewed on site, there's something for everyone.
