WASTED! THE STORY OF FOOD WASTE aims to change the way people buy, cook, recycle, and eat food. Through the the eyes of chef-heroes like Anthony Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how the worlds most influential chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system. WASTED! exposes the criminality of food waste and how its directly contributing to climate change and shows us how each of us can make small changes  all of them delicious  to solve one of the greatest problems of the 21st Century.

*Growing to Give is hosting a panel discussion following the Thursday evening showing of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste at Frontier. Growing to Give is grateful for the guidance and support in planning this event from Frontier, Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program and Merrymeeting Food Council.

Panelists include:
- Scott Vlaun, Director of the Center for an Ecology-Based Economy, will offer examples of regenerative agricultural practices that address the impacts of food waste.

- Don Morrison, Operations Manager of Wayside Food Programs, will speak to how we can keep millions of pounds of edible food out of the waste stream by feeding people who need it most.

- Chrissy Adamowicz, Outreach Coordinator of Sustainable Maine, a NRCM project, will talk about how NRCM helps communities create policies that protect Maines environment.
