Plays by Young Writers 2020
Playwrights Project's Plays by Young Writers festival, sponsored by the Sheila and Jeffrey Lipinsky Family Fund, features winning scripts from its 2019 California Young Playwrights Contest for ages 18 and under.
FULL PRODUCTIONS: "Like Father, Like Daughter" by Izzy Ster Age 16, Carmel Valley Adulthood dawns on a daughter and her father over a series of coffee dates.
"Feliz CumpleaƱos" by Jordan Marie Finley Age 17, San Diego Cami struggles to celebrate her birthday after her parents are deported.
"Love is Blind: A Spoken Word Play" by Aiko Lozar Age 15, Carlsbad The year is 2121, love is treason... but are Amber and Blake in love?
STAGED READING: "The Hurricane" by Torrey Woodfill Age 11, San Diego Two friends experience the emotional rollercoaster of facing their fears.
Please note that online ticket sales end twelve hours prior to the performance. After this time, remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the theatre.
The VIP Pre-Performance Reception begins at 6:00pm.
There will be no intermission at the February 1st performance.
Ticket purchases are non-refundable after the event takes place.
